The problem addressed by this project is general throughout the world, with the particularities of each region. Its analysis in European waters, where these changes are already a reality, is of great interest to develop prevention measures.
The scope of the results of the project will be international, since, on the one hand, the studies carried out will suppose a remarkable advance in the international scientific knowledge and improvements for the development of the blue economy in the region.
The results can materialize in the maritime transport sector because they can use the results of MIMAR when developing new protocols for action that are more respectful of the environment and marine biodiversity. The results achieved will also have an effect on health by studying the human health condition of invasive species. The responsible ones in sanitary matter will develop new regulations with which to be able to face before this problematic one.
